You can Sleep, Hubby

Hubby sleeps so late this past few days. He can’t sleep at night. Maybe he has insomnia. I better look for best sleeping pills for him so that he can sleep at night soundly. There is no need to turn on the aircon for him to sleep. We have big light bills last month. We need to save so that in times of emergency. We will never fret because we have money in the bank, right? I hope he thinks of it, saving!

Teacher Kyla

Last Thursday was the “Linggo ng Wika”. Kyla’s school has a program. Her teacher assigned her to be a teacher. I hurriedly look for a textile to make a teacher uniform. I’m glad their school has its own dressmaker. Gosh! She looks like a teacher in their school because of the color of the textile I brought. Indeed, it was a great day for everybody especially to parents to see their children performing in the stage. I’m so proud of Kyla because she is not ashamed to go to the stage not like other children. I’ll post her photo in that event soon.

I miss this blog of mine. I am so busy guys with my offline and online work. I have no time to post an entry in here.
My parents are getting older and so I want to give them a gift. I am thinking of what it is. It came to my mind to look for term life insurance because it is good for them. I am making a call to my friend who works in an insurance company. I’m glad he is willing to help me in that matter. For sure my parents will be surprise; I hope it will be my best gift to them. Wish me luck!

Busy Woman I am!

..so tired for this week and because of that I have no time to post in here. I have loads of work that sometimes I cannot open this blog. My goal for this year is to save money because month of December is coming. That month is an expensive month because you need to give gifts to your godchildren. I want to be prepared because I only give them once a year. LOL! I’m such a thrifty godparent.
By the way cousin need to look for car grills because when it comes to automobile. He will spend much of it. Well, it’s his money anyway.

Teacher Kyla

It’s August!  The next program in Kyla’s school is the “Linggo ng Wika”. She was assigned to wear a teacher uniform because she is a teacher. I think Kyla wants to be a teacher when she grows up. Most of her classmates will wear nurse uniform. Being a teacher is such an achievement and that you can help children learn how to write and read. Funny it is when Kyla teach her granny about the alphabet and its sound. We are proud of her because now she knows what she wants in her life, her future. Today I went to NCCC mall to buy her a half meter of textile to produce a teacher uniform. Now, I am looking for a dressmaker to make it. I hope I can find one this week.

Kyla's Wish

Every time we go to shopping mall, my daughter will asks permission from me to go to the play house. I let her go inside the play house because it is the only time she can play with other kids. She can be able to socialize with them too. Her granny wants to buy her swing sets so that she will play at home. But not now because granny will save many bucks for it before she can buy. For sure Kyla will be so happy if granny will strive hard to give it to her. My daughter is the first daughter of both sides, so spoiled!

My Inspiration

three01When I became a mom and a wife to my hubby, I am complete. They thought me to be a responsible and loving person to them. I am so happy because I have them in my life. They are my inspiration to face the challenges in my life and to be strong in every obstacles coming in and out of my life. There are times that I am weak but when I saw them I need to fight. I loved them so much. I thank you Lord for giving them to me. They are my treasures; I kept them in my heart.

My BIG Dream

As a blogger my big dream is to have numbers of laptop on my desk. I know it’s costly but I want to pursue it though its kind an impossible thing to happen. One that is on my list is a Sony Vaio because you can choose in different size and price too. When I look at it in the computer store, it attracts me because of its unique designs. Hmm..dreaming is free so there’s nothing wrong to have a big dream, right? LOL!

How to Pump and Store Your Breast Milk

When should I start to pump my breasts?

If you will be pumping your breasts when you return to work, practice for 1 or 2 weeks before you actually go back to get the hang of it. You can try pumping just after your baby eats or you can pump your breasts between feedings. Practicing at home will help you learn how your pump works. During this time, you also can start to collect and store breast milk to be fed to your baby when you return to work.

How much milk will I get when I pump?

You may not get much milk when you first start pumping. After a few days of regular pumping, your breasts will begin to make more milk. Also, the more milk you pump, the more milk your breasts produce. You should drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated (which will help your milk supply).

How long should I pump each time?

Pumping your breasts takes about the same time as breastfeeding, but with practice and a good pump, you can pump your breasts in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. While you are at work, try to pump as often as your baby usually feeds or for about 15 minutes every few hours. To keep up your milk supply, give your baby extra feedings when you are together. You can also pump right after your baby feeds, which will help your breasts make more milk.

Will there be times that my baby will need more milk than I have ready?

Yes, your baby will probably want more milk during growth spurts. The best way to increase your milk supply for a growth spurt is to breastfeed or pump more often.

How should I store my breast milk?

Breast milk can be stored in a plastic or glass bottle with a sealable top, or in a sterile, sealable bag. Store your breast milk in amounts that you use every day to avoid wasting it. For example, if your baby eats 4 ounces in a feeding, put 4 ounces of breast milk in the storage container.

Where should I store my breast milk?

Pumped breast milk should be cooled in a refrigerator or other cooler as soon as possible. The milk can also be frozen if you aren't going to use it right away.

How long can I store my breast milk?

The following are some general breast milk storage guidelines:

• At room temperature (less than 77°F) for 4 to 8 hours
• At the back of a refrigerator for 3 to 8 days
• At the back of a freezer for up to 3 months

The breast milk I have in my refrigerator looks funny. Is something wrong?

Breast milk can vary in color. It can be bluish, yellowish or brownish. It is also normal for breast milk to separate (the fatty part of the milk goes to the top). Shake the bottle or sealed bag, and the fat will go back into the milk.

How should I thaw frozen breast milk?

Thaw the milk slowly by swirling the container of milk in warm water or by putting the container in the refrigerator the day before it is to be used. Don't use hot water to thaw breast milk. Never thaw frozen breast milk in a microwave oven. The milk could get too hot and burn your baby's mouth. Microwaving can also damage valuable proteins in breast milk.

Thawed breast milk can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours, but it should not be refrozen.
