In talking with those involved in the recent outbreak and in reading the literature, we've learned that:
While a common source of E. Coli infections is undercooked hamburger, the bacteria can survive in other products - unpasteurized dairy and apple juice products for example. Parents are not typically aware of how many different types of food products can be easily contaminated. We need to learn what everyday things we can do to reduce the risk of E. Coli infections. This is just a sample of the key points you'll find in the following articles, stories and websites. We suggest that you read them, familiarize yourself with the prevention methods, the symptoms and treatments.

“Hamburger is one of my favorite foods. Good thing I surf on the net today and found out this article. I learn that we must not eat undercooked hamburger because the bacteria is present in that food. I’m glad that my daughter does not eat hamburger and so she will not get this kind of diseases. I may possibly get this disease and so I make sure that the hamburger is well cooked. I hope everybody will be aware and seriously apply this article to their life for their health sake.”
